Organizing a press event that, besides the introduction of Tesco’s seasonal barbecue product series, also makes it possible to build relations with key journalists in an informal way.
The morpho team has organized an experience-focused program, sending journalist invitations in the form of test-tubes containing liquid smoke and coal, both representing grilling. At the event journalists had the chance to taste the special menu, prepared by using Tesco barbecue products, guided by the chef of a fine dining restaurant. They were also able to have informal conversations with representatives of the supermarket chain. Related activities: press release and infographics about economic data and sales, and preparation of a lifestyle bit.
Compared to traditional events, we have managed to attract a significantly larger number of attendees. Following the event many articles have been published in key economy and lifestyle media. The effect of the event is tangible on the long term concerning the strengthening of press relations.
